How the price is worked out
Priced from the file like any other part. Interior trim is often thin-walled and prints cheaply for its size. Where a part comes in pairs — left and right — send both files in one order so the handling fee is charged once.

- Engine bay components — sustained heat well beyond what PETG tolerates
- Anything in the braking, steering, fuel or restraint systems
- Exterior body panels exposed to constant UV for years
The dashboard question
The reason we do not print vehicle parts in PLA: a closed car in British summer sun reaches 60–70°C on the dash, and PLA starts softening around 55°C. Parts sag, warp and drop off. PETG holds to roughly 80°C, which clears normal cabin temperatures with margin. It is still not an engine bay material, and we will turn that work down rather than sell you something that fails.
Questions people ask about this
Will it match my interior colour?
Black PETG is close to most modern car interiors but will not match a textured moulded trim exactly. It reads as a fitted accessory rather than an invisible repair.
Is a printed trim clip strong enough?
For clips that hold trim panels, generally yes, and PETG flexes where PLA would snap. For anything the manufacturer specifies as a structural fastener, no.
