1. Who we are
3D Print My Parts is a trading name of 3D Guru, operated by Joshua Hogden from Mildenhall, Suffolk, United Kingdom. For data purposes, Joshua Hogden is the data controller. Contact: Josh@3DGuru.co.uk
2. What data we collect
When you use our quote tool or place an order, we collect:
- Name and email address — to communicate about your order
- Phone number — optional, if you choose to provide it
- Delivery address — if you choose delivery rather than collection
- STL file details — file name and calculated volume for pricing purposes. Your STL file is processed in your browser and is only transmitted to us if you choose to submit a quote request.
- Order details — quality, colour, quantity, delivery choice, and total price
3. Payment data
Card payment is handled by Square. We do not see, store or process your card details — they go directly to Square's secure payment infrastructure. Square's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
4. How we use your data
We use your data only to:
- Process and fulfil your order
- Communicate with you about your order (confirmation, dispatch, queries)
- Send invoices and payment confirmations
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties, except as described in section 5.
5. Third parties
We use the following third-party services:
- Square — payment processing. Data sent: payment amount and tokenised card reference only.
- Resend — delivery of order and status emails. Data sent: your name, email address and order details.
- Netlify — website hosting and order storage. Netlify may log access requests (IP address, page URL, timestamp) as part of standard web server operation.
6. Data retention
We retain order data (name, email, order details) for a minimum of 6 years for accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time — where deletion is possible without conflicting with legal obligations, we will comply promptly.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (where no legal obligation requires retention)
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Josh@3DGuru.co.uk
8. Cookies
This website uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics services. We run our own privacy-friendly visitor statistics: your browser sends us the pages you view, the site that referred you, your device type and country, and whether you use the quote tool. This is stored against a random session code that lives only in your browser tab and is discarded when you close it; we do not store your IP address and cannot identify you from it. These statistics are kept for 90 days and are used solely to understand how the site is used and to filter out automated traffic. The quote tool also keeps temporary session data in your browser to support your quote.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. The current version is always available at 3dprintmyparts.co.uk/privacy-policy/.
